Ostindia
Many novelties will be
launched autumn 2012.
Ostindia
Ostindia, first introduced in 1932, was inspired by a fragment of china salvaged from the cargo hold of the Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg, which sank in 1745. It remains one of Rörstrand’s best selling designs and was recently honoured with the accolade “Service of the Century” in Sweden.
Parts of Ostinda will be discontinued 2012-06-30. Will be replaced by novelties, celebrating Ostindia 80th year anniversary in September 2012.
OSTINDIA Service of the Century
The Ostindia china can be found today in cottages and castles all over Sweden. The classic pattern has withstood the test of time and changes in taste and the china itself has resisted modern inventions such as washing-up liquid and dishwashers. A durable success which will be used by generations to come.
